Selection Criteria for the Book of the Week Award

At Books for Humanity Global, we celebrate books that embody our mission to make reading and literacy accessible to all and inspire a global community of readers. The Book of the Week Award is given to works that not only achieve a perfect 5-star rating in our reviews but also stand out as truly exceptional in their alignment with our values.

Our selection is guided by these criteria:

Accessibility and Inclusivity

• The book appeals to a broad audience, breaking barriers of culture, language, or background.
• It promotes literacy by being approachable, engaging, and enriching for readers of diverse levels and experiences.

Impactful Themes

• The book tells a story that connects people, fosters understanding, and inspires meaningful reflection or action.
• It aligns with the belief in the power of stories to unite and build empathy across communities.

Quality and Creativity

• The book demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship in storytelling, whether through compelling characters, innovative ideas, or masterful writing.
• It sparks imagination, creativity, and curiosity, inviting readers to explore new perspectives.

Here are a few guidelines on how to use the badge:

How to Use the Badge:

• Feel free to display the badge on your website, social media profiles, and marketing materials such as book covers, newsletters, or press releases.
• When sharing the badge online, please ensure it links back to the this same Book of the Week page where your win is featured, for proper attribution. This will allow your readers to explore more about your recognition.
• You may include the badge in both digital and print formats.
• When using the badge in print (e.g., book covers, flyers, brochures), please include the following attribution: “Books for Humanity Global at booksforhumanityglobal.com”.

How NOT to Use the Badge:

To nominate a book, authors, publishers, and copyright holders can request a complimentary review. Passionate readers in our community may also submit reviews, provided they have no conflicts of interest. These reviews determine if a book meets the award standards.

   • Cost: 40 AUD (roughly 26 USD) only.
