Best Funny Books to Read

Funny books are a great way to relieve the pressures of life, and the genre of comedy doesn’t have to be the same as what we normally expect it to be. In fact, many of the funny books on the market today are autobiographies or memoirs, or even the author’s own experiences. For example, the memoir “Speak French” by Greg Sedaris is a hilarious look at his experiences learning the language while living in Paris.

If you’d like to read a humorous novel about human behavior, try Adam Resnick’s hilarious “Little Miss Sunshine.” This novel reveals how one boy copes with his obsessions despite being born in the midst of a financial crisis. He is an ad man, and his zany antics make for a delightful read. The “Little Miss Sunshine” series is another great way to enjoy the hilarious world of comic books.

Louise Rennison’s “Withering Tights” series is another great way to enjoy a book. Set in the Yorkshire Dales, the story follows two women as they navigate their way through awkward situations. The books are filled with humor and are a perfect way to channel your inner cheekiness. Mercado writes relatable stories about everyday foibles. Her wisecracks are a great cure for all one’s woes.
